Despite the early rain, thousands gathered in Utica on Sunday for the 51st annual Burgoo festival. More than 300 vendors featuring flea marketers, entertainment, craftsmen and musicians were at this year’s festival. The famous Burgoo stew sold out at about 2 p.m. on Sunday. Burgoo is one of Illinois largest and longest running fall festivals — held annually on Columbus Day weekend.
